So my friends, (I can call you that I hope) my heart weighs heavy as the time has come to say “Au Revoir”, for now. The in-laws will be here and gone next week and I really should be out filling my coffers with new images. Thank you for being so welcoming LJ’s, you made me feel right at home. To those of you that emailed me requesting that I cease and desist, I hope I have not caused you any irreparable harm. I meant no ill will and it was all in good fun.
I will be heading out to my yurt and the flying into the back country for extended periods after next week and unfortunately I will not have contact with civilization during this time so, I will not be able to answer emails till i get back. I do usually resupply every few weeks or so and will check LJ’s /emails if you’re so inclined to contact me.
I will be back for the long winter, which is sooner here than most places, to start new projects and who knows, maybe a blog or two. Fair warning though, you think I’m nuts now, just wait till cabin fever sets in!
As a final tribute I would like to share this image of Wilson thoroughly enjoying the new swing. Been bouncing on it like a new born ball since it was put up.
Some people emailed me seeming to be upset about my blog posts, so in the interest of being fair and answering their questions, here are some

Last, but not least,
Thank you everyone. Take care and I’ll see you soon!
In the early winter the sun skirts the horizon for hours in southern Alaska, creating the most magnificent sunset/sunrises in the world, I think. This is me atop a small hill, next to the bay of the ocean, trying to capture what i see. Hey, now I have a swinging bench to drag up there and enjoy this! If only Wilson had arms to help me…
