First Thanks for looking and I did not photo these with the intent to rotate them for the landscape shot. please bear with me. Next all but 2 projects are in my projects and more details and how to are in my list. including a small table like this tailgate table, but i made it from one 2×4, so it came out a lot smaller but the challenge was a 2×4 and it made a nice small side table. strong enough my grandson sat on it for a campfire, its in the project list also.
1. The candy holder is a mason jar and short pieces of hardwood. costs me about $5 to make but i sold them for $25. When i originally made them in a class it was in pine. Great for M &M. the big cost was a large hole saw but that was because I saw I would be marketing them and worth the cost, about $22. I used spray poly on the oak and cherry.
2. The tailgate camping table was in pine and made to be a NO bolts project. all base on 2 feet high and 2 feet wide.
the reversible top—stained and painted is now 10 years old. It has been camping for games, small cook stove, coffee table, prep for hobo pies and a few other things. I even had it in my home with a table cover for a nice antique lamp.
the top leg boards are a half cut notch. I wanted the top to fit into 3/4 slots and secure it in place. It could be a square but It has a lot of room round and great height at 24 inch for many uses. See my projects.
3 the game board was a real oldy my daughter brought camping. I made it with just a router and portable saw for the 1/2 lap. Its about 40 some years old and still holding up and now the grandson are enjoying it. about 5.5 inch wide and 20 inch long. Marbles in 4 sets are harder to find. its called Aggravation.
4. The pine shelf I had made for my mother in law and her bell collection. when the house collection was broken up from my father in law passing this sister in law has the bells and I was surprised to see my shelf. I know I had my first band saw for the curves and should have done better with a hidden mounting plan. i would give myself a Cplus on a grade the shelf notches are wide and more braces needed. but it was smooth in its finish, well thats one good point.
Thanks for looking. Check my projects for those few above if you want photos and details.
Candy dispenser, Tailgate Camping Table, 2×4 table. Shopsmith outfeed table.
