Spoiled Myself..New Rockler Miter Sled No more Homemade

$200 And no more homemade after many many years. This was as you see well packed. Fully assembled. 24 inch by 24 in. base. metal track..now here I had my own problem as my SS slot was 0.72 and this was 0.75. So i was able to plane down some high grade poly strips I have had for years—-guess this was the project for them—and it switched well. The groove under the table helped capture the runner. Trimming the edge was easy. There are 3 knobs holding the wood fence for place, and it can extend past the 24 in. in my pic on the SS I have the motor unit in the middle of the tubes and still 30 inches to the bandsaw. So if I would move it to the right I could have more board room. i set up to try cuts at 90 and test my blade, thats the two blocks and i flipped them over. #2 shows a gap at the top. A light table adjustment and #3 cut came out square. I like having the fence to place my hands well away from the blade and push. The 45% cuts were nice to line up on the edge by eye. I should have used the fence but was in a hurry. the last pic shows a 2×4 and depth of cut and this was a surprise. The table is 1/2 inch plus the 1 and 1/2 and the Shopsmith blade can raise to 3 and 1/4 depth of cut. now the cut was clean but I need a moment to figure why there was not more blade above the 2×4. Very pleased with this. looking forward to some segmented rings.
Hope you enjoyed my review.
