Grooves..need 16 of them…parts are too skinny for the Stanley 45 to work…fence issues, vs, work holding.
At the first layout try..
Hmmm..that will not do….decided to mill the grooves first…then rebate the inside edges of the panels to fit the groove…
1/4” depth…trying to get it centered…on pass in each direction..3 settings…one to clean up the center of the groove. Last setting to get to final width…times 16 parts…
Rebate was also done at the saw…with the panels vertical…one pass….was way too tight..added a second pass…
Fits a bit better….tenons were next. Removed the Zero Clearance Overlay…reset the fence to about 1/2”...set the depth to just clear the the groove’s edge
Couple dry fits…showed the panels needed adjusted for length…as I wanted a 1/4” mortise, in the bottom of a 1/4” deep groove…
Will add a haunch to the tenons, next time in the shop..and set up for a few mortises…
I think that will be enough for one day’s work
Stay tuned..
