Now we are ready to flip everything right side up and install the mobile base at the same time, so here goes….
First we size everything to fit.
It’s magic!!! In the twinkling of an eye, Oh I forgot to say Abracadabra, Presto Chango….
And we have exactly 31 inches. Just what we were shooting for.
And for our metric measuring Lumberjocks….Metrics!!!
And we still have the Grizzly medallion and the model number is till readable.
And now we get rid of the corrosion inhibitor stuff, Not much work st all. And if you look close, the old hill billy is still bare footing.
Anchor the mobile base corners, and that is done.
Now here is a little trick that makes thins go fast! Magnetic tool bars. SAFETY NOTE!!! Do get a finger between the magnet and the cast iron top. It does cut and we don’t like fresh blood on a new saw. These magnetic bars are very strong.
Put your bolts in and move on to the other side.
Is this close enough for you?
And moving on…chatter chatter….shuffle….side step….spin Dennis around…...oops. Back to the blog. Dennis is going to make a dancing fool out of me too.
Just a loose fit up…..
And we’re ready for the right wing….
And we tighten things up….
DON’T LOOK…TERRIBLE INJURY.. this is for the ladies…....Only the ladies can appreciate the seriousness of this major injury.
And the right wing is on!
And we just move right along. I see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Adjusting the rails for the fence. Man every body ought to have these magnetic bars.
And adjusting the back side of the fence.
We check the back side of the blade for alignment.
OK. NOW I”M UP SET! .003 out! This sucker is going back…...Do you think they will notice the shortness?
I must say that this saw was so difficult to assemble that we just noticed there was a book with lots of pretty pictures. As soon as I get the blade adjusted properly, I might look at it.
And this is my hippy supervisor, Curtis, my youngest son.
And this is the reason for the height requirements, (handsome devil, huh).
And a little non-techy accessory package to keep things handy. Yeah, I have a thing for magnets.
And this last picture is for our great lumberjock, Grizzman. Just for you Buddy.
No brag, just fact. This job was less than 4 hours start to finish. I spent more time on the blogs than working on the table saw. That is an 8 star review for Grizzly. All that is left is the receptacle for the 220 plug. Enjoy and feel free to comment with pros and cons. Rand
