OK not really a barn find as such, however I am helping with a relocation and was relegated to “cleaning out the garage”

The first Barn Find was this grey plywood box,

so out it comes an gets opened… hmmm looks like a tradies ww Box.

The orange box catches my eye as I recognise it from my school days as a Stanley plane box but a bit on the small side.

Sure enough its a Stanley 78 whatever that may be.

Flipping the lid I see a very small plane, instructions and a few accessories/items wrapped up.

Reading the instructions its some sort of rebate plane.

So I unwrap everything and do a contents check by way of assembly

All items from A to M are there.

Looks like a handy bit of kit if you had a use for it.

(like a blackout and my router didnt work)

Of Stanley in England origin, however Age and Value unknown ,... but I will look it up.
It doesn’t actually do duplex rabbets but has the provision of doing two types/stiles of rabbets, Bull nose and through rabbets.

Standby.

Found something already

BTW I an going to change the name from “Bar Find” to” Christer’s Tool Box” in recognition of him.
